Igglesden Trophy

Ropley were beaten by 35 runs in their Igglesden Trophy match against Longparish, failing to chase down the tough target of 150.
After losing the toss, Ropley were unable to keep a check on the early batsmen, particularly Tognarelli who blasted a quickfire 56 as they raced along at 8 runs per over. Tom Stroud (2-19) helped apply the brakes,Sam Graham bowled well for his 1-13 as the run rate slowed, & Andrew Morris picked up a wicket too as the innings ended on 150-6. After the loss of an early wicket, Henry Hughes batted with freedom as he blasted 33, but they were always behind the clock. Aldridge 3-10 from 5 overs virtually ended the chase, but Martin Peters 35*, Chris Fuller 13 & Toby Barnett 11 made double figures as the reply faded to 115-7, 35 runs short.
