Ropley were the 2008 winners. This is a fantastic day's cricket to be enjoyed by players and spectators alike.

Ropley lost in the semi final to Tichbourne Park who were beaten in the final by Hambledon. It was a fantastic day and the support for Ropley was second to none. Thanks to all those who came along, particularly the WAGS.
Ropley comfortably beat Brigands in their first match of the day. Alex Portz and Marco Teixeira batted beautifully to see us home.
Supporters arrived as the day brightened. Sadly, the cricket did not.
Ropley were comprehesively beaten by Ventnor in their second game. We only managed to score 42 and this was easily seen off despite Alex Portz (seen above) taking a wicket with the first ball of the innings.
Chasing 58 runs we fell 2 runs short in our third game but picked up a bonus point to led us to the semi finals.
The face of a man who should have got 2 runs off the last ball and only got 1.
The semi finals saw us outclassed by Tichbourne who destroyed our bowling from the start.
Marco led the final charge but was left with too big a task.
It was a valiant effort but not to be. There is always next year if we get invited back. Thanks go to Martin Peters for organising the day and Martin Lentz for the photos.
