St Cross amassed 178-5 in their 16 overs, opener McCormack-Cox had hit 50 before the end of the 5th over
on his way to a top score of 78, although he should have been run out
before he had scored & twice more.
Ropley's bowling & fielding was
very sloppy, a few were guilty of letting their heads drop. Martin Lentz took
2-4 from his only over.
Richard Boote bowling
with pace & movement ensured that Ropley were never going to seriously
challenge,
he bowled 4 overs for just 2 runs (both wides) & collected 2 wickets.
Some lusty blows in the dark from
Peter Finch 13, Toby Williams 27 & Toby
Barnett 10, helped the reply to just 87-6 & a comprehensive
91 run defeat.
